Computer Networking Technology

The Computer Networking Technology program at Copiah-Lincoln Community College provides the knowledge and skills necessary for two-year graduates to obtain employment as a network administrator, computer support specialists, or network technician. The program provides training in the design, creation, and maintenance of a local area network.  Emphasis is placed on Microsoft Windows network operating systems and clients, Linux network operating systems and clients, Cisco routing and switching, database design and PC maintenance.  Network administrators typically perform tasks such as adding and deleting network users, backing up the network server, loading software applications, providing printing services, maintaining network security, and general network troubleshooting.
